Brendan and Amanda Grubbs are the coaches and driving force behind Spartan Fitness Training Co. With over 16 years of gym ownership in Minnesota, they have helped countless individuals transform their lives — losing weight, gaining strength, building unshakeable confidence, and achieving goals they once thought were out of reach. Their passion for high-intensity training, combined with a deep commitment to holistic wellness, has always been at the heart of everything they do.
After relocating to the Edmond area, it was only a matter of time before they opened Spartan Fitness Training Co. — their next chapter dedicated to continuing that same legacy. Here, they thrive on helping others succeed through expert guidance in strength and conditioning, endurance training, personalized nutrition, lifestyle coaching, and sustainable results.

HIIT stands for High-Intensity Interval Training — short bursts of intense effort followed by brief recovery periods. It's one of the most effective ways to build muscle, improve endurance and optimize overall conditioning in less time than traditional workouts.
Not at all. Every exercise can be scaled to your current fitness level. Our coaches will guide you, adjust the work to match your ability, and help you progress safely. Many members start as complete beginners.
Yes. Spartan Fitness Training Co. runs by appointment only, so every session stays small, focused, and fully coach-led. We hold multiple class times Monday, Wednesday, and Friday throughout the morning and afternoon.
When you join, you'll choose a "home group" — your regular training slot and crew that you'll train with three days a week. We offer different training groups to suit every level. Some groups move at a more challenging pace, while others are scaled down for a less intense experience. This makes training accessible for everyone — whether you're a beginner easing into it, a senior looking for a sustainable pace, or anywhere in between. There truly is a right group for everybody.
This setup creates consistency, accountability, and that strong Spartan bond. We keep each group capped at around 15 athletes so you always get quality coaching and individual attention.
If life gets in the way and you miss your regular time, you're always welcome to drop into any other available session that day.
Our schedule will evolve based on what our members need most, so we'll regularly adjust times and add new slots as the gym grows. Reach out through the contact form below and we'll get you scheduled into the right group.
Just yourself, a water bottle, a towel, comfortable workout clothes, and athletic shoes. For your first session, arrive a few minutes early so we can get you oriented.
